The following is a list of resources designed to assist those in prison, their loved ones, and supporters of all kinds.
- The National Lawyers Guild supplies many free publications such as The Jailhouse Lawyer’s Handbook, created to assist inmates in defending themselves.
- “Rights of Inmates” is an article proffered by Find Law and lists all of the guaranteed rights inmates have.
- The Prison Activist Resource Network has lots of different types of resources from news to advice on dealing with incarceration.
- Prisoner’s Rights is a Cornell University Law School article about the Constitutional rights of inmates.
- Justice Denied is a magazine for the wrongly convicted and is host of resources for inmates, stories and an avenue for inmates to interact with the outside world.
- Prison Legal News is an independent media outlet for prison related news. They also host an inmate locator and a referral directory.
- The Sentencing Project is a national leader in the development of alternative sentencing programs and in research and advocacy on criminal justice policy.
